The lesions of the caruncle are extremely rare, which can arise from within the caruncle, its skin, hair follicles, sebaceous gland and accessory lacrimal glands, hence its clinical pre-operative diagnosis becomes very difficult to reach and is done only in 50% of the cases. The lesions of the caruncle are of a variety which includes nevus, benign tumours and rarely malignant tumours, which can be fatal. In this paper, we report a case of caruncle sinus with an abscess that was successfully managed by caruncle excision.Abstract
