Abstract
Dear Members
'Ethics has been called as “Religion of Science”……..'
Edwin Grant Colwin
Ethics are bestowed on to us with the 'Hippocratic oath” as we finish the medical school.
By definition 'Ethics' is the philosophical discipline concerned with what is morally good
and bad and morally right and wrong. Ethics is the soul of medical profession and the
soul is the purest. The biggest strength in medical practice is being ethical in your
diagnosis, investigations, treatment and in research. And if one is confident about his moral values no one
can in this world can challenge his righteous principles.
When we see around, the faith and belief of the people about medical profession seems dwindling. It is not
just common people but also we see the colleagues unethical and malpractices that keeps on surfacing and
resurfacing. All these form an cloud of dismay and dissatisfaction. But we really need to introspect……….
